At Athenyx Robotics, we are building the intelligence stack for industrial humanoid robotics — a platform for AI-native robotics where perception, reasoning and action are tightly integrated. Simulation is the engine room.

This role owns the environments, assets and synthetic data that let every other team move faster — and that turn sim-to-real into an engineering discipline instead of a wish.

The work

  • Develop and maintain simulation environments for robotic systems and tasks.
  • Generate synthetic data to support perception and learning pipelines.
  • Model robots, sensors and environments with a focus on realism and scalability.
  • Enable sim-to-real transfer by aligning simulation with real-world conditions.
  • Collaborate with learning and perception engineers to support training and evaluation workflows.
  • Contribute to data pipelines and system integration across the stack.

About you

  • Degree (Bachelor, Master or PhD) in robotics, simulation or related field with strong understanding of physical systems.
  • Strong programming skills in Python and experience with simulation or data generation workflows.
  • Experience with simulation environments or physics-based modeling.
  • Interest in enabling scalable training and bridging simulation with real-world systems.
  • Willingness to work across the stack and collaborate with AI and robotics engineers.
  • Experience with synthetic data pipelines.
  • Familiarity with perception or learning workflows.
  • Exposure to real robotic systems.
  • Work on real robotic systems in industrial environments with direct impact.
  • Close collaboration with industry partners and access to real-world use cases, data and systems.
  • High ownership and responsibility in a small, capable, execution-focused team.
